Beautifully styled and furnished with everything you'll need for a delightful, refreshing and invigorating stay, each one is a light, spacious and graciously appointed single storey building, with stunning views of the valley from the patio garden area.

Local shops are just two miles away, for all your groceries and newspapers.

Naturally every cottage has a large lounge/dining room with gallery kitchen, and two very generously proportioned double bedrooms, which sleep a maximum of four. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, plus the cottage also has a family bathroom with overhead shower. There are electric radiators throughout the cottage to provide heating, and the lounge has a TV with Freeview channels, a DVD player and a small library of books for your entertainment.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, fridge freezer, and dishwasher, plus a washer/dryer. In the bedrooms you will find zip and link beds, so you can either have large doubles or twin beds. All your duvets, bed linen, and towels are included in your stay, and there is even a travel cot for babies and toddlers. Situated as we are within a short distance of the great city of Newcastle, culture vultures will have the opportunity to experience all the splendid artistic and cultural attractions, as well as fine dining, in local restaurants, cafes and bars: While shop-a-holics can spend as much time as they like in the Metro Centre, Eldon Centre and specialist boutiques in the city.

Slightly further afield, guests can roam the wild coastline which is renowned the world over for its great beauty. Marked as a World Heritage Site, the Northumbrian coast with its castles, stately homes and stunningly beautiful landscapes is a delight to behold.

The Scottish Borders make a splendid day out, and are the ideal place to do a spot of salmon and trout fishing on the River Tweed or play a round of golf. Closer to the hall you will find the Angel of the North and County Durham, where you can visit Durham Castle, Cathedral and University.

Beamish Open Air Museum is literally on our doorstep, and is the perfect place to discover how the North East looked in times gone by. For more historical destinations try the monumental structure that is Hadrian’s Wall, or the man made reservoir at Kielder water which is a haven for wildlife, and great for cyclists, walkers, nature lovers, and even has an observatory. Hedley Hall is also perfectly placed for visitors wanting to catch the Tall Ships when they come to the North East later in the year.
